You can follow my recipe to make white tea with milk. Here, I’m sharing the step-by-step process explaining how to make white tea with milk. Here is the recipe-
Ingredients
- White Tea: 2-teaspoons
- Filtered Water
- Milk
Instructions
- First of all, take a jar of fresh and filtered water. Freshwater has a significant influence on the tea’s taste. Don’t use distilled water or previously boiled water because it tastes flat.
- Then pour the water into a kettle, heat it at 160ºF – 180ºF, and bring it to a boil. Then, let it be cool for 5 minutes.
- Check the water temperature before putting the white tea into the boiled water. The temperature should not be more than 70ºC – 75ºC (158ºF – 167ºF) or 71ºC – 77ºC (160ºF -170ºF) at the most.
Remember that, if you use too hot water, your tea can be scalded and taste bitter.
- After that, pour some boiling water into a cup or pot to pre-warm the cup or teapot. When the cup or pot is warm, immediately pour out the water.
- Then add tea leaves (2- teaspoons per cup) into the teapot or cup and pour boiled water over the tea leaves.
- After adding tea leaves, cover the cup or teapot. However, if you use a cup, you can cover it with a small saucer or a lid.
- Then steep the white tea for 10 minutes. Although, some teas can take 1 – 5 minutes.
- The tea will be ready within a few minutes, and then remove the leaves through the strainer.
- Finally, add some milk and sugar to your white tea and enjoy it.
Note: Generally, we consume white tea plain, and it doesn’t need to add any additional flavor. Although you can add milk, sugar, lemon, or spice to your white tea, mostly, these elements disrupt the delicate flavor of white tea.
